Aiming made easy April 01, 2006 |
Aiming made easyAn email from a friend, I read your information and it is very help full. I want to tell you about my system of aiming. Most people look for a point on the object ball which is fine. I find what i like to call a stroke path which is the width of the cue ball and the path starts from the cue ball to the object ball. since the path is the width of the cue ball I can stroke anywhere in that path on the cue for english as long as my stick is parallel with the stoke path. When sighting the shot I "click" through the different paths until the two balls lap in front of the pocket. Then I ask myself where to look straight and stroke through the cue to get position. If you could elaborate on my system I would really appreciate it chrmen6@aol.com Here is the link for that book. Let’s define The Monk 101 program.Right Thinking or Right Knowledge. Right Doing or Right Action. Right Mind Development. This is what you are doing. The Monk 101 is your mission statement. When you spend every breath on the Monk 101, which is right thinking, you automatically begin to experience right mind development. If you allow doubts and fears to enter your mind, you are not practicing Right Thinking. If you are overwhelmed with thoughts of winning a tournament, you are again not practicing Right Thinking. If you are rushing your shots or hesitating through fear, you are not practicing Right Action. Once you adopt the journey through the Monk 101, you will be paying attention to the things that will really help your game. It all comes together once we get on the right road.
Master The Monk 101 program and you are practicing Right Knowledge. When you put this to use on the table, you are practicing Right Action.

I CAME TO WIN is now a classic.
While I am here in New Zealand I have been going through my book I Came to Win. This is a great book! I am designing inner game classes for my new web site. If you do not have a copy of I Came to Win, you really need to order one. You need a copy of this book. I wrote I Came to Win while I was camped near a lake up in New Hampshire. It was a nice peaceful setting, the fall colors were in full bloom. Sometimes, in the morning, you could see your breath. I would be headed to Florida in a few weeks as soon as it got cold in New England. In those days, I lived in a forty foot motor home. In the morning, with a cup of coffee in my hand, I would arrive at my desk ready to continue my work on I Came to Win. Each time, I would be amazed by what I wrote the day before. It was really incredible. The book is an inspired piece of work. I am really happy with the material. As I have been going through it here in NZ I find myself re learning it for the second time.
You will love I Came to Win. You can order it in an e-book, or get yourself a paper back copy. No one should be in this game without I Came to Win.
Consistency made easier,How do you address the cue ball? Do you approach Mr. Whitey the same way on each shot? If you do not, then you will have trouble with consistency.Email address of the week.voluptuously_auburn@comcast.netThere are parts of this email that are not real to protect us! |
