Aiming, your own system

Aim true and make the shot

All players have a unique form of vision. In other words, we see things in different ways. I have a shot where I have to aim to over cut it. When I am cutting a ball back to my right, I cannot properly see that shot. Experience has led me to over cut it and I make it every time. This is simply a matter of my vision. I compensate for it and find success.

One time a student could not hit a rail shot I had set up for him. I asked for center ball, one half below center and a punch stroke. He continued to pinch the ball every time. Then I asked for a slight right of center hit and he nailed it consistently. What he thought was center ball turned out to be slightly left of center. Before I discovered this flaw in his vision he became frustrated and threw his cue on the floor. With that, he headed towards the exit. While I watched him walk away I couldn’t help but notice he had a big ass. Actually, you could say he had a fat ass. I told him he would lose all his tuition money if he walked out. He stopped and I could see his fat ass shaking with the sudden stop. When he stopped the ass cheeks were still in motion. Then he returned and we discovered his vision flaw. I wish I could say that we had a great session from that point on but it was not. I do write about him in Focus on Winning. You will know this Student from Hell as Fat Ass.

Learn to adjust to your own unique style of vision. This is why I don’t go into specific details on the fine art of aiming. We all see things differently so one form of aiming won’t work for another.

The most important thing you will ever do in pocket billiards is hit the cue ball. So you want to be totally sure you hit the cue ball exactly where you intend to. Joe Tucker has a unique device that enables you to strike center ball every time. When I used it I marveled at how lazy I had become. I had to re learn my center ball techniques. Get a hold of Joe and order this device.

The point of aim changes when you are using English to assist the shot. The point of aim changes when you are using cue ball speed or specific strokes. Because of this we can’t give you a dependable principle when it comes to aiming.

You must be in a good stance or you will not be able to see the shot. The eye sees the shot from the perspective of “can we make it or not”. If you are standing off line, the eye cannot see the shot. Have you ever lined up for a shot, knew you were not going to make it, and still shot it anyways? You were not standing properly.

I need to stand up right on cut shots. I need to be low to the cue ball on long shots. I need to be just off the cue ball on draw shots. Years of training has helped me master these unique personal traits.

The beauty of the shots found in The Lesson is that they put you in position to learn and develop your own style. If you are not making the shot as it is presented to you, you need to make an adjustment and it is this adjustment that enables you to develop a great stroke.

Learn to aim your own way. I am looking for you in the finals.

Pool Teams of America is growing

My new web site.

The league is growing. log on and check it out.
Four Points to Power I would like you to check out my program called Four Points to Power. I woke up one night in Aspen CO. and sat in a small office over looking the mountains. They were, mysterious and surrounded by a misty fog. I sat in silence for a long time, wondering what to write about. I knew there was something as I don’t often wake up like this. Finally, I began to write and what came out was really quite remarkable. I want you to read about the Four Points to Power. All pool players go through these stages on their way towards enlightenment. In fact, everyone who reaches the top goes through these four stages. Check it out and make plans to take this unique course.

On The Road America’s roads are the face of this great country and Pennsylvania should be ashamed of their roads. All you get is potholes and porn shops. The medium divider is just one big ugly block of cement separating oncoming traffic which is two feet from you. It is noisy and confined. The PA road system is markedly evil. There are sections where they boldly proclaim that the fine will be doubled if you are caught speeding. Then they wait in a down hill run just to extort the weary travelers.

I remember coming across Ohio one time and when we entered PA my daughter said, “Dad, can we get off this road?” She felt the negative elements of the Pennsylvania turnpike. I honored her request and went north to New York.

Today was a fine ride after I left PA. When I finally reached West Virginia and then Ohio I could feel my spirits lift and now I am seeing wide mowed dividers with flowers and newly planted trees. It is time this country realized that we need a complete over haul in our road systems. We can put a lot of folks to work and dress ourselves up so we are once again the proud nation we have always been. I think it would be nice if they did a special remake of Route 66 and called the entire highway a national park like the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I’ve been on the road now for about a month. You can read about it on my web site, just click on the link and read about how life is for a Monk on the road.

On October 15th I will head out for one last trip on the road. I am travelling across Oklahoma, Texas, NM, AZ and on into California. If you are in this area, contact me and schedule a personal Monk session in your town. The cost for this complete training is $350.00. You receive a dvd plus The Lesson valued at $90.00. Don’t pass this opportunity to learn from The Monk today. If you can get a friend to join you, the total cost would be six hundred dollars.

The Monk Special Training

I am going to enter into a secluded place to train two world class performers. This unique boot training includes all aspects of the game. We will go through the stance, sighting, stroke, cue ball speed and mastering self for six full weeks. The students will follow a strict nutrition program designed to increase their concentration skills and stamina so they can continue to perform at a high level through out the matches.

I am going to film this training in a series of five dvd downloads so all of you can learn what is taught to world class players. The cost for this special training is twenty thousand dollars. I do have one more opening left in the program which includes all lodging and food.
