The Perfect stroke!
Let’s go down in the trenches and work hard on our game. When you set up for a shot, your arm should be perpendicular. Your grip should be about six inches back from the balance point of the cue. Your cue tip should be as close to the cue ball as possible. When you deliver the stroke, your right hand will naturally come up towards your body. The cue tip is delivered down towards the table. The cue tip will land on the table, in a direct line towards the target, and your right hand will land on your rib cage. If we could ride the cue tip with our eyes, we would see that it makes contact with the cue ball in an ever so slightly downward motion. This drives the cue ball into the cloth and keeps it on a straight line.
The old players, from days gone by, used this type of stroke. It is a science. The perfect stroke is not easy to master. If you get a chance, find a Monk Master in your area and he/she will take you through the stroke analysis program so you have the finest stroke in your room.
Think about this!
It is critical for you to come up with your purpose for playing this game.
It is also important for you to come up with the reason you have that purpose.

Tim,I took a whole day to think about" why "I want this. I suppose I could come up with a dozen reasons, and I did!! But I know after thinking long and hard about it, I can only come up with the one thing that really matters.
I practice about 3 1/2 hours a day, everyday!
The dedication I have towards this game is in some ways very scary . I love this game so much that it is almost like being addicted to some form of drug!!
The only thing that I really ever wanted was to be one of the greats in this game. I can now see that this achievement is close to my grasp. I will never quit until I reach my goal, no matter what!!
So you ask me my reason "why"
Because it's my dream and will always be my dream until it becomes a reality. I know this is possible. I see it happening everyday!! I feel this in my sessions.
People are beginning to watch and talk about me. My friends tell me this!! It's because of you and the program that I am beginning to live my dream. But most of all it's because of my love and dedication!! I hope this answers your question, because it answered mine!!

The Monk International Championships Tour!!
The first annual MICT will take place in mid April. I am looking for a room who would like to host this two day event.
