What’s this cue worth?
My husband purchased a Sampaio Pool Cue with the original zipper red padded case back in 1975. This cue is like new, only played with for two years. The guy who bought the cue was a high roller with money so he would not buy a cheap cue. We would like to find out what the value of this cue is. It has a black wood base and light colored shaft, ivory ferule and ring. I would like to sell it but do not know what it is worth. Is there a book on Sampaio cues. If you would like a pix, I can send it to you so you can see the cue for yourself.If anyone knows about these cues, please help me out. Sue

The Chicago Maine Event.
The Chicago Maine event was everything a Maine Event should be. We had several students in the Masters teacher’s program.Ruby Vega not only got her Masters degree, she was also signed on to a movie deal in the 9-Ball movie that is coming out. She is teaching the Monk 101 at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Ruby will host a “Secret’s Revealed” Tour in January. Bob and Kara Leonard, Calgary, along with John Grady NY, Travis Kennedy, AZ, Levi Read, OH and Rachael Abbink, Canada also attended the Monk Masters teachers five day seminar.
We had a full house in the Chicago Maine Event. Over Half of the student body signed up for the Gold Level membership in MMU to continue their training.
Ruby Vega hosted the event. She provided us with a complete pool room, along with a conference room at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She also arranged for a special Monk presentation on Saturday night. A large group of fine players showed up from another pool hall. It is always great to share this wonderful game with players all over the world.
During the seminar Ruby was informed that she got a part in the new movie about 9-ball to be released this fall. Ruby will represent MMU in that movie.
MMU graduated six Master Teachers in Chicago. These player/students are now Monk Masters and offer a complete training program as well as mentorship training.

Take a class with The Monk
I taught a stroke class during the Maine Event. There are points you must be concerned with when you set up to shoot a ball. First you address the cue ball. Make sure you land in the spot that enables you to make solid contact on the cue ball. We helped many players in this area. Then you must be sure your arm is straight up and down when you hit the cue ball. Then you must make sure your elbow does not move up or down during the stroke. You must also make sure your head does not move as well. We go through a unique program that helps you with these important points.When you see a Monk Master instructor he/she will go through this program with you. You will be amazed by how much this will help you with your game. The next time you prepare for a shot go through these points. Try it. You’ll like it.
